TEACHING QUALITY ASSURANCE AND STUDENTS SELF-GOVERNMENT SEMINARS IN SNAU



On May 25-30, 2018, a series of educational seminars and workshops took place in the framework of the "Enhancement of Capacity Building Process in Quality of Education and Research at SNAU and SSU" project implementation jointly with the Czech University of Life Sciences, funded by the Czech Cooperation Development Agency. As a result of the events, the participants were awarded the confirmatory certificates of participation in an international event.
Thus, the visit of the Czech delegation began with the presentation of the project results on the assessment of the quality of education and research in the SNAU in 2017 and discussions of the assessment reports of the quality of selected work programs with the working groups from the pilot departments. A special interest of the participants was drawn by a two-day seminar "Specifics of Creating Internal Documents of the University that Determine the Quality of Teaching", which allowed to pay more attention to the quality assessment of the work of university teachers. The seminar was held by the PhD, head of the distance education department of the Center for the Higher Education Studies in Prague, Mr. Jan Beseda.
Also, for masters and post-graduate students, Mr. Hynek Roubik, a teacher at the Czech University of Life Sciences, scientific consultations were held on the issues of preparation of scientific articles, grants, works. At the end of June 2018 a series of seminars on qualitative preparation of scientific articles for publications in foreign publications is planned. The second half of the Czech delegation's visit was devoted to the activation of student self-government representatives. For example, a seminar was held on improving the skills of networking, writing grant proposals, as well as a call for mini-grants among proactive students was issued. Details can be found here.
